The Church of England is using U2 music in it's liturgy in what can only be described as a desperate attempt to remain relevant. While I love U2, I think the COE would do well to can the whole church thing and just become a big Gothic looking social club where they can play nifty tunes, discuss global warming, poverty, fashion and how horrible Western Civilization has been for the world. That way they can finally avoid proclaiming the Gospel of Christ, which always seemed to embarrass them.
