This is pretty funny, Hitch and Andrew Sullivan were bantering on Tim Russert's show when Sullivan lost his train of thought, Hitchens tells him "don't be such a lesbian, get on with it", presumably because Sullivan was tongue tied. Needless to say, this has ruffled some feathers.
Hitch responded to the controversy via an email to The Independent, "Don't know what came over me: the dear boy did suddenly seem extremely sapphic, yet I think my intuitions must have been scrambled all the same, since what I was actually thinking was: 'Andrew really wants to have Barack Obama's fucking child'. Clearly some confusion of categories on my part." As I said, pretty funny.
