Hit and Run in Hartford

Central Connecticut is in uproar over a hit and run incident that paralysed a 78 year old Hartford man from the neck down. If that wasn't bad enough, the incident caught on video shows that the good people of Hartford stood by and drove by without offering aid, although at least three people promptly called 911.
From the governor on down people are wringing their wrists wondering how we came to be this way. I'll tell you. When, from the governor on down, you let the little things slide don't be surprised when pernicious assholes drive through your streets as if in a shitty Vin Diesel movie. When more people are familiar with and believe the phrase "snitches end up in ditches" than know or believe Edmund Burke's well worn phrase "the only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing", don't expect to be able to buy milk at the corner bodega with impunity.
