What's really interesting about this dinner is that it's obvious that speech writiing teams are essential; it seemed also obvious that John M. truly has an authentic sense of humour & delivery, and that Barak O. had poor speech writers, and further that he lacked a 'graceful' sense of what a 'roasting' is all about. Sure, he came off as polished as ever....but....
I found in some ways this set of speeches/roasts far more revealing than any televised debate to date.
