Bryant Gumbel Is A Jerk

It will shock no one to find out that Bryant Gumbel doesn't always say the brightest things, but comparing the winter Olympiad to a GOP convention due to a paucity of blacks is just plain stupid.
"Like, try not to be incredulous when someone attempts to link these games to those of the ancient Greeks who never heard of skating or skiing. So try not to laugh when someone says these are the world’s greatest athletes, despite a paucity of blacks that makes the Winter Games look like a GOP convention."
Imagine if a white sportscaster compared a track and field event to a Million Man March, you would never hear the end of it and rightfully so. Think of what happened to that loud mouth Rush Limbaugh for his McNabb stupidity.
It's hardly newsworthy to point out that Scandinavian countries are well represented in winter sports. Nor is it surprising to see the USA represented by black athletes in track and field events. It may be interesting from a sociological perspective why this is so but it shouldn't be a criticism of either sporting event.
