The Koran and Congress

Several prominent people have criticized US Rep. Keith Ellison who wants to use The Koran when he takes his oath of office on January fourth. What's the big deal? The man is a Muslim, should he be forced to use a thesaurus because Islam seems to be incompatible with democracy? Just because Islam is intolerant doesn't mean we have to return the favor.

Typical. People getting lathered up over the wrong issue again.

The problem isn't that he wants to get sworn in using a Qur'an. Of course he does! The problem is his involvement with Louis Farrakhan's Nation of Islam which during the campaign, the local paper, the Minneapolis Star Tribune, whitewashed. See here and here.
