NOW is outraged that Don Imus is back on the air, but is "not putting out a statement or taking a position", or saying a damn thing about Gillian Gibbons the British woman imprisoned in Sudan for allowing her students to name a teddy bear Mohammad - who has been released btw, no thanks to NOW.
Is it too much to expect NOW to vigorously oppose Islamic extremism instead of a tired, old, radio hack? Some old fart calls a group of of woman, any one of which could beat his ass, "nappy headed hos" and it's gigantic panties in a knot time at NOW headquarters. Throw a woman in jail on absurd charges and NOW is mute. Search their website for "Ayaan Hirsi Ali" and they are mute. A woman is raped and then sentenced to 200 lashes, her rapists get a few years in prison and NOW is mute yet again. How can one take NOW seriously?

DOES anyone take NOW seriously these days? Perhaps the organization has outgrown its usefulness. Oh, and I really like the image of one of the basketball women kicking Imus' ass! ;p
